What You'll Do

  • Perform detailed analysis and reporting of revenue, deferred revenue, and contra-revenues in accordance with ASC 606 and other applicable standards.
  • Design and implement efficient, automated processes for revenue recognition and financial reporting. Continuously improve revenue-related processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue reports for management and stakeholders. Explain revenue trends, variances, and key metrics to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Research and apply technical accounting standards to complex revenue transactions and ensure compliance with ASC 606. Develop and update accounting policies and procedures related to revenue recognition.
  • Partner with Sales, Product, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure accurate revenue reporting and to support strategic initiatives. Provide insights and recommendations to support business decisions based on revenue data.
  • What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) highly preferred, with at least 3 years in Public Accounting (Big 4 preferred).
  • Deep understanding of US GAAP and IFRS, with demonstrated experience in ASC 606, 820, and some familiarity with other technical accounting pronouncements such as ASC 350-60.
  • Prior experience in SaaS and/or Web3, specifically with blockchain protocol and developer revenue streams.
  • Ability to distill complex financial information, perform detailed analysis, and develop revenue forecasting models.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing internal controls and optimizing financial processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Resourceful, agile self-starter with the ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion.
