Join Phantom as a Frontend Engineer in our Growth & Engagement squad, where you will design, implement, and optimize user-facing growth features such as action cards, referral flows, push-notification experiences, Phantom Pro upsells, and onboarding enhancements. Partner with Product, Design, and Backend to turn hypotheses into polished, performant, and A/B-test-ready interfaces, build reusable component libraries, and instrument every feature for real-time analytics and rapid iteration.

Responsibilities

Ship 2+ end-to-end growth UI features per quarter, each with comprehensive E2E tests, documentation, and performance budgets

Integrate feature-flags and build rollout controls so PMs can launch, measure, and rollback UI experiments without developer intervention

Create and maintain reusable, theme-able React (and React Native) components that power all growth experiments and ensure visual consistency

Emit structured events (clicks, impressions, variant cohorts) for every feature; collaborate with Data to validate pipelines and dashboards

Optimize first-paint times (<100 ms) and maintain ≤1 % production error rates; participate in front-end on-call rotation and triage issues within 15 minutes

Work closely with Backend, Product, Design, and Data teams to unblock dependencies, align on API contracts, and champion a data-driven development process

Lead code reviews, pair-programming sessions, and knowledge-sharing Dojos to elevate front-end excellence across the team

Qualifications

7+ Years of Frontend Experience: building production React applications (web and/or React Native) in high-velocity environments (fintech, consumer apps, SaaS). Proven track record shipping A/B-tested, feature-flagged interfaces and rapidly iterating based on metrics.

Technical Skills: Advanced React and React Native proficiency, including hooks, context, and performance optimization techniques. Hands-on experience with feature-flag platforms or custom A/B frameworks. Strong background in TypeScript, component-driven development, and design-system architecture. Expertise in front-end performance tuning: code-splitting, lazy loading, memoization, and build-time optimizations. Instrumentation and observability skills: integrating with Segment, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or similar for real-time analytics. Proficiency with testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, React Testing Library) and CI/CD pipelines for front-end delivery.

Soft Skills: Data-driven mindset: formulates clear UI hypotheses, measures impact, and iterates quickly. Excellent communicator and collaborator: thrives in cross-functional teams and handles shifting priorities with grace. Strong ownership and bias for action: comfortable shipping code, monitoring its impact, and refining based on data. Mentorship orientation: eager to coach IC3-level peers through design reviews and pair-programming.

Nice-to-Haves: Prior experience in crypto wallets, payments, or referral/incentive programs. Contributions to open-source front-end libraries or published talks on growth engineering. Familiarity with mobile push-notification SDKs and deep-link handling.
