Lead hardware programs from prototype to mass production, collaborating with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams. Ensure timely delivery, quality standards, and global certifications.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience managing complex, cross-functional hardware programs.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • A natural ability to operate autonomously across multiple teams in situations of extreme ambiguity, with only high-level direction
  • Experience building release and project plans with a thorough understanding of dependency management using frameworks such as Gantt charts, build matrices, requirements traceability matrices, etc
  • Effective communication skills, capable of addressing both technical teams and C-level executives.
  • Experience compiling and presenting business & technology options, backed by data & experimentation, to decision makers
  • You’re executional driven and have a hands-on mentality!
  • Experience with PLM and ERP systems.
  • A curiosity to dive deep into a subject matter, while simultaneously keeping the bigger picture and strategy at the forefront
  • Comfort with legal frameworks and contract negotiation (development, supply, licensing, and service agreements) is a plus
  • Fluency in English is a must. German language skills are a plus.
  • Responsibilities

  • Manage hardware program logistics from prototypes to planning for NPI ramp, including coordination of materials, build plans, distribution, and forecasting
  • Lead complex hardware projects from conception through to production, ensuring they meet strict timelines, budget requirements, and quality standards.
  • Ensure timely delivery of all production stages (EVT, DVT, PVT, MP) by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Use your past expertise in large-scale manufacturing to identify project risks and ensure smooth launches.
  • Lead the delivery of strategic cross-functional products from concept to shipment.
  • Help to resolve engineering challenges hands-on and by leveraging supplier relationships.
  • Lead the development and execution of program plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
  • Drive the transition from prototype to mass production, working closely with engineering and operations teams.
  • Own risk management, mitigation planning, and issue resolution.
  • Work closely with optical, mechanical, electrical, and firmware engineers, ensuring smooth integration across components.
  • Partner with supply chain and manufacturing teams to optimize production ramp and yield.
  • Coordinate with compliance and regulatory teams to manage global certification efforts.
  • Implement program tracking tools and dashboards to communicate status and risks to stakeholders.
  • Utilize your leadership, communication, and organizational skills to make a significant impact across all teams.
