Job Description

Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on regulatory and policy issues related to crypto and blockchain. Provide legal guidance and advice on tech-related financial regulation and crypto matters.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis on regulatory and policy issues related to the crypto industry and blockchain technology.
  • Leverage knowledge to provide sound legal guidance and advice on tech-related financial regulation and crypto matters.
  • Carefully draft and meticulously review legal documents and agreements, with a focus on tech-related corporate, litigation, and regulatory matters.
  • Advise on ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations governing financial services, crypto, blockchain technology, smart contracts, and decentralized applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to offer legal guidance and advice on tech-related matters.
  • Represent the company in negotiations and interactions with regulators, policymakers, and industry stakeholders on tech-related topics.
  • Maintain awareness of legal and regulatory developments in the crypto industry and blockchain technology landscape.
  • Proactively share insights and recommendations with the legal team and key stakeholders.
  • Interact with regulators when necessary.

Requirements

  • Possess 5-8 years of well-rounded experience as a lawyer, with a distinct focus on financial regulation or regulatory affairs, and a strong, substantive understanding of blockchain technology and the crypto industry.
  • Qualified to practice in UAE. Demonstrate excellent drafting and communication abilities, with a proven track record of effectively conveying complex legal and technical concepts to non-legal audiences.
  • Familiar with financial products and relevant licensing and regulatory requirements.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, adeptly working both independently and as a collaborative team player.
  • Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to provide practical, solution-oriented legal advice on tech-related matters.
