Job Description
Lead trading operations, leveraging expertise in financial markets and data analysis. Oversee project timelines and help launch initiatives with streamlined workflows and effective risk controls.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for the Crypto and Trading Operations department, setting measurable performance goals while promoting a culture of ownership and growth.
- Drive the optimization of trading processes for efficiency, scalability, and risk management.
- Oversee trade execution, settlement, clearing, and reconciliation, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards.
- Work with senior management and cross-functional teams on new initiatives, communicating Trading Operations' needs.
- Monitoring crypto markets and proactively adjusting operations to address impactful changes and unusual trading trends.
- Develop and mentor a high-performing team, driving continuous improvement and contributing to business objectives.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of financial markets, trading systems, and the trade lifecycle across asset classes, especially cryptocurrencies.
- Strong knowledge of the Crypto sector, including current events, regulation and major players in exchanges, OTC desks etc.
- Strong analytical skills to identify optimization opportunities, both quantitative and qualitative.
- Structured approach to project coordination, detailing the team’s needs and capabilities to manage stakeholders’ expectations and working in a fast paced environment!
- Understanding of risk management to mitigate operational and market risks, by being proactive rather than reactive to market changes. Deep understanding of market trends, movements, and opportunities for Bitpanda.
- Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills to collaborate well with diverse teams and senior management.
- Comfort with technology and experience in trading platforms, thriving in fast-paced environments.
