Designed for builders, Shelby uses on-chain smart contracts to coordinate and manage storage activity, ensuring full transparency and trustless integrity. The protocol introduces a system of "Chunks" and "Blobs" to efficiently handle a wide range of data—from cold archival files to hot, real-time application storage. By integrating seamlessly with the Aptos ecosystem and leveraging the Move programming language, Shelby enables developers to store, retrieve, and audit data with precision and speed. Whether powering DeFi protocols, gaming platforms, AI models, or analytics engines, Shelby is redefining what decentralized storage can do—bridging protocol-grade architecture with production-ready performance.
