Educated to a degree level (BSc/MSc), MBA or other continued education is a plus5-8 years of experience owning significant parts of the HR function in a high performing organization, such as a trading firm, fast growing technology company, consulting firm or similarAlternatively, 5-8 years of experience in a non-HR function, e.g. consulting, strategy & operations and similar with a strong interest in moving to people functionSharing Wintermute values and ways of working and enthusiastic about developing high performance environmentsStrong experience/familiarity in several areas of HR such as performance review cycles, HR operations, compensation, employee initiatives, etc; willingness and ability to learn other areasOwnership mentality: doing whatever needs to be done to achieve the goals, from initiating improvements to effective execution of operational tasksConfidence with Excel/data sets, attention to detail and zero-mistake attitude to private compensation mattersConfidence with technology tools such as HR systems and related automations, ability to learn new tools fastGreat communication skills - clear, concise, empathetic, ability to speak with very different people (e.g. from deep technologists to MBA graduates) and understand different personalities and perspectives, ability to stay calm in high pressure situations, ability to have hard conversations if necessaryProven ability to see the bigger picture, commercial strategy, understand new functional areas quickly, and have a cross-functional mindset
