What You’ll Be Doing

Build, scale, and inspire a global product design organization across regions and time zones.

Mentor senior design leaders, establish succession planning, and foster a growth culture.

Define performance frameworks and ensure accountability to measurable outcomes.

Create a unified design strategy for Web3 that aligns with OKX’s long-term everything onchain vision.

Translate complex blockchain and DeFi mechanics into intuitive, human-centered product flows.

Drive excellence across all surfaces: mobile, desktop, wallet extensions, APIs.

Evolve and scale our design system to ensure global consistency, speed, and quality.

Tie design success directly to business outcomes (user growth, AUM, transaction volume).

Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and R&D to deliver innovative and customer centric user experiences.

Interface directly with Product Managers (PMs) and Product Designers (PDs) across global teams.

Act as a strategic advisor to senior executives, shaping business direction through design insights.

Lead design for DeFi, wallet, and growth products, driving adoption through frictionless experiences.

Translate complex blockchain and DeFi concepts into intuitive product flows that enable mass adoption.

Define design frameworks for Web3 growth initiatives, including token utility, ecosystem engagement, and community-driven features.

Champion trust, transparency, and compliance in product design while balancing regulatory requirements.

Stay ahead of Web3, crypto, and DeFi trends, ensuring the company remains a market leader in usability and adoption.

What We Look For In You

At least 10 years of design experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management or organizational leadership role.

Proven track record in scaling, leading, and managing global design teams, including managers, senior leaders & individual contributors.

Deep expertise in product design, design systems, and branding, with the ability to set a high bar for quality and efficiency.

Extensive experience managing cross-regional, cross-functional stakeholders, and cross-cultural teams, with strong cultural sensitivity and adaptability.

Excellent leadership, organizational, and team-building skills — able to drive vision while empowering teams.

Strong stress management and resilience, capable of navigating challenges from multiple dimensions simultaneously.

Web3 native – deep understanding of the domains & crypto-native user behaviors, DeFi mechanics, and wallet ecosystems.

Bilingual communication abilities (English, Chinese) – essential for interfacing with global teams, Product Management leaders, and Design across HQ and international markets.
