This role involves managing smart contract security efforts for the Optimism protocol, working with engineers and security stakeholders to ensure safe deployment and management of smart contracts. The position requires collaboration with developers and deep technical understanding of relevant products.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of product management experience
  • Proven track record of working on products in adversarial or security-critical environments
  • Deep strategic thinking coupled with clear, pithy writing
  • Hands-on experience with technical products – previous experience as software engineer is excellent but not required
  • Prior experience with the EVM is nice-to-have but required as long as you are keen to learn new things and can ramp up quickly

    • Responsibilities

  • Work closely with engineers on our EVM Safety team to ideate, scope and deliver platforms and tools for secure smart contract deployment
  • Go deep on highly technical products (e.g., OP Contracts Manager) and manage their roll out, monitoring and success strategies
  • Conduct user research with protocol developers, the Optimism Security Council, and other security stakeholders to understand security and usability needs
